I got it all figured out, and to think it took me 23 years to figure it all out is a sad sad thing.

According to all the people who know “best” like parents and teachers sports are good for children and teenagers growing up. Organized team sports like football and cricket and even stuff like badminton and TT are all designed and encouraged in the schools for supposedly to encourage character development and social skills and improve the ability to work in teams.

I say it’s Crap!!

People always think they know better than the other person. And all (almost all) have a problem with obeying orders. But the human civilization has figured out a way to change this basic human behavior which is counter-productive in terms of human civilization.

Sports are the solution. They are just another way of brainwashing a young person in to the mould of the society. Sports are nothing but conditioning a person in the obeying orders and conditioning an exclusive set of people for issuing orders. (Sound familiar??)

Every sports played within the school system is based on a single frame. There’s a coach, and there’s a captain. They make all the decisions and the other players are supposed to follow them. What this does is that it makes people conditioned in a way such that when they step out to the real world the average person is quite comfortable with taking orders from another person, simply on the merit of that person being “higher up”.

The captain is conditioned to “lead” and the rest are conditioned to “follow”. And there we have the basic foundation of human society; (A few) leaders, and the masses who follow.

Amnesty International (AI) has discovered the biggest promotional market there is. Sports!!

AI has stretched their “Human Rights” hand in to the Beijing Olympics in China. They are of course protesting China’s “Human Rights” record. They also have a really compelling ad campaign against China too.

They “protested” during the Cricket world cup Against Sri Lanka with a “No Ball” Campaign (Throwing a Cricket Ball to the ground with Sri Lanka’s name and shouting No Ball as I remember it).

What Amnesty International has realized is that Sports is the best way to raise money. Sports being the closest thing to people they can get a lot of people “aware” by attacking sporting events. IS IT RIGHT TO ATTACK SPORTS TO FULLFILL A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND UNRELATED AGENDA?

I don’t think so. Sports have nothing to do with China’s Human rights record (Unless of course Chinese Torturers use Boxing gloves and pistols in the way Amnesty International depicts in those advertisements.) The same way Sri Lankan Cricketers (nor the supporters) had nothing to do with whatever the accusations Amnesty International accused the Sri Lankan Government of doing.

But what does Amnesty care. They get what they want which is a shit load of money from innocent people in the western countries so they can spend it whatever they spend it on.

This also makes me wonder. Amnesties campaign about Human Rights in Sri Lanka was a non-issue. (At least when the Cricket world cup was taking place) So we must ask are there such crimes against Humanity in China? Other countries use torture/executions legally. Such as United States (Which I think redefined torture) Eastern European Countries which allows US torture chambers. IS Amnesty planning to protest major sporting events of these countries too? Maybe Amnesty Will protest at the next Super Bowl or the Kentucky Derby to protest Gitmo? Or US torture?

Of course they want. These people make their money from the “democratic” west. So they will never go so hard against their sponsors. Sure they’ll make the occasional press release., but never a full all out protest.
